There is extensive damage to this clock. The face of the clock was broken into pieces and someone used packaging tape to reassemble it. The tape and bubbles inside the tape can be seen when the light is on. The breaks and cracks can be seen on the outside of the face. Because the plastic face is so brittle I didn't want any heat on it so I put in LED lights on the inside to illuminate it instead of what was in there which was a tube fluorescent light.
There are a lot of scratches, scuffs and marks on the metal frame. When the clock is first plugged in you need to give the second hand a little nudge to get it started, it also starts a little loud, but then quiets down. The second hand is a little jumpy and runs backwards here and there when its warming up. Im not entirely sure how much life the clock mechanism has left with all the issues described. I'm not sure if it's the original clock mechanism or not. The clock seems to keep okay time. It may be a little fast.
