A few words about VICTORINOX company. Victorinox was founded by Karl Elsener in 1884 and since then the company has been one of the biggest knife manufacturers worldwide. The company's origins started in the small town of Ibach in Canton Schwy, Switzerland. Well known for its Swiss Army Knives as the company supplied the Swiss Army with various types of knives, indeed being its sole supplier. Though some years later many of Elsener's colleagues left the firm becoming his competitors, still Elsener managed not only to survive from financial difficulties, but also with his great innovative spirit he createad patents marketing his products internationally as. In 1921 Elsener renamed his company to nowaday's'Victorinox' after his mother's name Victoria and the word Inox after the stainless steel materials used in his production.

The company still remains powerful and after teaming up with other enterprises it has entered multiple markets with further items too, such as multi-tools, watches, compasses, travel products and more. The company distributed these unique displays to promote its sales of the well known multi-purposed Swiss Army Knives internationally. Certainly such a display is an artifact and difficult to be found anymore.

Please notice that normally the display. I plug it in and the knives start moving; at times, they are likely to stop/be stuck, but when I slightly push them they go on working.

Please look at the photos closely; there are various shots, as they are taken while knives are moving. The big knife measures approx. 32 cm long (12.5"), while the scissors are 31 cm long (12"). In general the display comes in good-used CONDITION without any serious damage. Some signs of age and some scratches, especially at the rear side (please see photos).
