>Offered here is an old & original 1920's-40's DUTCH BOY PAINT die-cut cardboard STORE DISPLAY sign , featuring the iconic little Dutch Boy on his swing!! Please see all nine photos, as they are an important part of my description. I believe this vintage sign/vintage store display to be from the 1920's-40's, as I acquired the sign along with other advertising items from this time period. This truly rare display measures approximately 30" x 16" at its widest points.
It's truly amazing this fragile sign has even survived intact! The sign features metal rods on the display's back, for reinforcement purposes; I'm quite certain it was issued in this manner. The hang cord at the top seems rather old. Most of the tape on the reverse seems to be "original" to the display's creation, and was utilized to secure the cardboard to the metal support rods (newer tape appears to have been added in a couple of areas by a previous owner, at critical stress points; please see photos). This Dutch Boy Paints signage is an outstanding example of a country store display, or vintage hardware store sign! Re: this classic store display would be most welcome!
