Rare general store display/sample board of amazing reverse painted glass signs. The Front of this Sample Display has 29 original-actual early signs and numbers (not showing all examples shown on back) mounted on brass back with holes for mounting. The Back of this Display shows an original print of a completed sample Board with dimensions, prices and styles. Manufactured by Glasscraft System, 4005 Roosevelt Rd. The individual signs were made of highly polished chipped edge plate glass. The border and lettering is in silver on a black background and is backed up with black waterproof paint. This sample board was originally displayed in the shadow box style hinged door of a J. Found in the Robert T Herrckes Hardware store. La Salle, Illinois - established in 1897.
