Antique 1890s Advertising Tobacco / Cigar Store American Indian Display Sign

Antique 1890s Cigar Store Display American Indian - Sign. This display is I believe is a bust portrait of the Lakota Chief "Red Cloud". Its made of a plaster type material, and was made to promote the Fr. Rice & Company (A known cigar company from the era) to promote cigar and tobacco sales. From the information I have found the Fr Rice & Co. First used these to promote at the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair, but then were used in other store display applications during the later 1890s.

This beauty has just some minor paint flakes otherwise NO chips, cracks, or damage just an exceptional original example. For similar items related to this check my Store Displays or Signs section in my store.
